The dearth of ethical leadership has become a significant contributor to the weakening of civil society in the world. The question today is; how do we develop a new generation of leaders who lead with compassion and integrity? In response to this, we design and implement a tailor-made biannual Civic Leadership Academy (CLA) for selected civic leaders. The CLA is a space co-owned by civic leaders themselves to reflect and recalibrate their leadership. After every CLA Edition, participants choose to become members of CLI, subscribing to a set of values and standards and committing to support one another in leading with integrity.

Many organisations are resting on fragile ground and shifting sand. The funding space has shifted radically. The question is: how do we build 3 movements and organisations that thrive today while enduring for future generations? In response to this, CLI supports the development of effective strategies for organisations undergoing transitions or rapid institutional transformations to ensure sustainable growth, impact, and influence.

Today, tyranny, authoritarianism, and injustice have evolved into sophisticated forms. The question is: what thought leadership, knowledge innovations, and investments do we need to put in place as civic leaders to go beyond mere activism and become more strategic? In response, CLI is investing in creating a hub for knowledge generation and thought leadership, supporting the production of essential resources and giving platforms for civic leaders to raise the leadership lead on their organisations and movements.
