Tafadzwa is a civil society leader and a financial management professional with over 15 years of experience working for multinational organisations, managing grants from UNICEF, Global Fund, USAID, DFID and EU. Over the years, her portfolio has been primarily focused on overseeing the financial operations and the financial sustainability for non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), working closely with executive teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support programming. Her background in financial management and accounting has seen her manage grants of over $200 million, disbursing an average of $25 million per annum.

Armed with strong analytical skills and commercial diligence for financial accounting, her expertise in managing projects for multilateral funding institutions has resulted in strengthened fund management, budgets, expenditure plans, payments, acquittals, and verifications for projects like the Results-Based Financing program and the Human Resource for Health Retention Scheme.

Passionate about using her skills and expertise to make a difference in the world, she has facilitated national, provincial, and district-level trainings in sustainability and risk management. Her wealth of knowledge in grant management, compliance , and capacity building has culminated in effective and efficient financial, administrative, and operational functions of organisations she has found herself in.

In addition to her professional experience, Tafadzwa holds a BA (Hons) in Accountancy, an MBA in Management, an Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualification and she is a certified risk practitioner with the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA). She has been an ACCA fellow (FCCA) for over five years and regularly participates in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in financial management.
